Overview

Good Old Arcade is a non-commercial digital catalogue and tribute to coin-operated arcade game history. We believe in privacy by design: we do not sell personal data, do not run commercial advertising networks, and do not track visitors across the web.

Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use advertising, marketing, or invasive tracking cookies. The only cookie utilized is a strictly necessary functional preference cookie (goa-theme) used solely to remember your chosen visual cabinet theme between visits.

If you use the optional “Insert Coin” feature, your selected arcade ROM files are read and stored exclusively within your browser's private local IndexedDB storage on your own device. These files never leave your computer and are never uploaded or transmitted to our servers.

Anonymous Telemetry

To help us understand high-level site traffic and preserve server health, we collect minimal, aggregate, and cookieless telemetry based on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Visitor requests are processed in memory using a daily rotating random cryptographic salt via SHA-256 to produce an ephemeral daily identifier. No IP addresses, device serials, or persistent identifiers are ever written to disk or shared with third parties. All counters are stored as daily aggregate counts only.
